The 2015 CYCLE ZYDECO web site with official information is here. Updates to this site, though not complete, are being added frequently.

A mail in form exists and refund policy is clearly stated. An on-line registreation using Eventbrite.com or Active.com is running as well.

I have updated the section below with 2015 information BUT accuracy is not guaranteed. See the official site for official info. Some links are still from last year. The "Ride to" links below (for each date) are from the 2014 Cycle Zydeco. I expect similar if not identical routes this year.

April 7th: Leave KC @ 7:00 AM sharp for Shreveport (550 miles)– En route there is a stop at Macadoodles liquor store in Pineville, MO (a stone’s throw from the Arkansas line). Then on to the Fairfield Inn with a Mexican restaurant (Nicky’s) across the parking lot. This stop is a tradition with us. We party there and finish back at the motel.

April 8th: Travel to Lafayette (230 miles)- We have stopped at Natchitoches (at Lasyone’s for meat pies) and in Opelousas at Billy and Ray’s for Boudin along the way. There is a kick-off party that evening.

April 9th: Ride to Breaux Bridge (42.1 miles)– We ride from Lafayette to Breaux Bridge basically following the Cycle Zydeco route. To start things off in a good mood our first stop is the Parish Brewery about 6 miles into the ride. We will travel through St. Martinville visiting several attractions there. You might want to make a stop at Couillon's (formerly Kate’s Too) just as you get to Breaux Bridge. Pace yourself at Rainbow Daiquiri’s. Chastity mixes up some mean Crazies (Pace Yourself). We are thinking Dinner at CafĂ© Des Amis.

April 10th: Ride to Opelousas (42.6 miles or 61.1 miles). You might enjoy the swamp boat tour at McGee's Atchafalaya Basin ($? fee - Not sure if this is included). We understand there will be a tour of Bayou Teche Brewery in Arnaudville (LA 31 beers). Also in Arnaudville is a great food stop at Myran’s Maison de Manger. Traveling on, look for “the tree” for a magnificent photo op. Another traditional stop for us has been Bourque’s Super Market in Port Barre (only on the longer route). The Jalapeno Sausage Cheese Bread is a treat. Horse racing at the Evangeline Downs appears to be on the schedule again this year (the season begins April 8th). The city’s web site tells of a Music & Market series happening on Fridays in April and May.

April 11th: Saturday we ride to Eunice through Mamou (about 26 to Mamou) for Fred’s Lounge where a Zydeco radio broadcast takes place from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We hope Tante Sue will be able to join us there. This is one of my absolute highlights each year on the Cycle Zydeco ride. After your wild time at Fred's we attempt to ride on to Eunice (total mileage 37.5). That evening we can attend the "Rendez-Vous Des Cajuns" radio show at the Liberty Theater.

April 12th: Sunday we ride to Lafayette. The year we organized our own ride we created a ride from Lafayette to Avery Island - home of Tabasco Sauce. This is a possibility again this year as a bike ride or a motorized vehicle side trip. Info about Avery Island is here. The last two years we went to Angelle's Whiskey Landing for a little dancing (open 4-8 PM) before a post CZ pizza party.

April 13th: Return to KC
